CRYO-GUA SHA FACIAL TREATMENT EXPERIENCE (ON PRE-SALE)

ABOUT CRYO-GUA SHA FACIAL TREATMENT EXPERIENCE

A non-surgical facelift! We cannot rave about this treatment enough. Aging gracefully is so beautiful and fortunately we have just the right tools and education that are natural and work with your own body’s physiology and lymphatic system.

Cryoskin 3.0 facial helps to stimulate major collagen production, creates a lift and visibly reduces wrinkles. This cryoskin facial treatment also enhances exfoliation of dead cells on the surface of the skin and strengthens the health of the skin as a WHOLE.

The gua-sha massage afterward stimulates circulation and lymphatic drainage so this works deeper than most facials that just treat the surface. Well-Functioning lymphatic drainage is the gateway to clear and glowing skin. Unlike the circulatory system, which has a heart muscle to keep it moving, the lymphatic system can require a manual nudge when it gets sluggish. With more than 30 % of your lymph nodes residing in your head and neck, improving function of those nodes on your face can have a big impact on health and beauty.

This treatment will help eliminate puffiness, help flush toxins and REALLY contour the face, so that you may revive the angles of the jawline and cheekbones… without going under the knife! Dramatic results are seen immediately after one session and can last for weeks.

FOR BEST RESULTS

FOR BEST RESULTS FOLLOWING CRYO TREATMENT:
• If possible, avoid all kinds of sugar for 4-5 hours prior and after the cryo session. 2 hours is required for best results. This includes all kinds of sugars including from pasta, rice, bread, cereal, etc. and of course, simple starches and sugars. Because the cold weakens and retracts the adipocyte (fat storage cell), consuming sugar will return immediate energy to these cells, and the apoptosis (cell death), will be less efficient and can even altogether hinder the treatment you just had.
• Avoid exercising directly before a session. It will be harder to cool the body down.
• For best results, maintain the best possible diet and lifestyle to accompany the treatment. Always drink plenty of water.

About Experience Provider

Bella Martinez

Bella has always been keenly interested in holistic healing, particularly skincare and body movement. While becoming a young woman, she has been self-taught on Ayurveda principles, flower essences, and also played with making her own masks and skin products with natural ingredients, inspired by her own mother who always took really good care of her skin. That is what she would invest her money on, and Bella witness her aged so gracefully. She was 70 when she passed away yet she looked mid 40s!

STUDIES - Bella first got licensed as an esthetician in 2012 while living in Austin. Her focus was holistic skincare and advanced esthetics, focusing on plant and herbal natural products that are organic. She is also interested in the synergy of the body and how the external reflects what’s going on internally. She has done nutritional studies through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in NYC, and also got certified as a yoga teacher through Dharma Yoga in Austin where she learned a fusion of traditional hatha yoga and Tibetan philosophy.

SKINCARE - Bella’s signature is to incorporate spiritual and ancient traditional aspects to her treatments. She integrates her Facials with Reiki, Dien Chan Zone (a facial reflexology modality original to Vietnam that was adapted and refined to Western culture in a school in Italy), Gua Sha (a Chinese technique using different stones that lift the skin in a similar manner to Botox), Thai Herbal Poultice (traditionally Thai but the herbs she will use are customized and hand picked for the patient, they are usually anti-inflammatory and can also be used for the body—the results look like you had cosmetic surgery!) The results are driven by the intention of the practitioner and the herbs themselves as well as the specific massage techniques. East meets West. The products used are all organic, fresh, local, and biodynamic whenever possible.

BODYWORK – Even before being an aesthetician, Bella was a young dancer and also always wanted to study bodywork. She took ballet classes from toddler years and on which has made her be much in tune with her own body and with movement. Being raised in a Latin culture that is very physically affectionate and expressive. People touch each other, hug each other, and touch is a part of daily life. Bella finds that the US culture is so detached from touch and quite touch-deprived. Her natural progression was to study movement of the body to working with the body and understanding its functions. Being able to help people and being of service to people became important to Bella, in a healing and nurturing way and in connection with our spiritual side. Bella is very inspired by Art and Culture, as both are beautifully intertwined with many traditional bodywork styles. The kind of bodywork that Bella wants to primarily offer is Eastern-focused. She is very drawn to Eastern and Mayan abdominal massage. Most of our organs are housed in this area of the body, it only makes sense to focus on it when providing bodywork. Most other bodywork traditions don’t even touch this area of the body.

HEALING – Bella became interested in helping others heal while living in Tulum on and off, where she has family. She was drawn to the Mayan of the world and found that there was a lot of healing and healing modalities available in the Tulum area. It was like an epicenter of healers. In her last time there she helped open a Spa that later got voted 8th Best Spa in the World by Conde Nast magazine. She was the Assistant Director and Lead Esthetician, co-designing the Spa menu. Bella loved her workplace at this time in her life, it was her “Happy Place.” Work was amazing, in front of the ocean, by the jungle, and not wearing shoes, as everyone was required to be connected to the Earth and be grounded. She met and connected with many healers, eventually feeling that it was also her calling. Bella is also drawn to trauma work. She got a scholarship at Yogamore for trauma informed yoga training, which means working specifically with people with trauma, being more sensitive and mindful of language being used, adapting certain postures, and avoiding triggers. Bella inspires people to open up and heal by layers. Traumas can be stored and held in very deep places. There is a lot of shadow work which is what people don’t want to face, see or admit it’s there. Bella wants to hold space for people to do so, in a compassionate and nonjudgmental way, as many people in trauma fear being judged and many are judging themselves.

Do you practice rituals of self-care? It’s a vital time for yourself in order to get out of the flight or fight state and take a break from being in a rush to go all the time. In Bella’s eyes, we are all here to be the best version of ourselves that we can be, and bodywork is essential for self-care.
