The versions you will learn with me, are what your great grandmother would have eaten, and very economical. They have a mild flavor and you get to control how sour they taste! You’ll make drinks such as:
Spicy ginger beer - although a little more involved and requires a waiting period as it ferments on the shelf - it will knock your socks off and rival any sodas from the supermarket.
Shrubs - a traditional sweetened drinking vinegar, infused with fruit and then mixed with spirits or carbonated water. There are variations of this drink found all over the world! You’ll make several shrub flavors that will last up to 6 weeks in your fridge.
Do you like bubbles in your beverages? The homemade carbonated drinks that you’ll learn to make use unflavored carbonated water and a magic mixture of flavors from the produce aisle. And kids love them too - swap out the sodas in your fridge for these fun, bubbly drinks.
